The hinterland cities to visit include Varese Ligure with its central round square and a small castle, Brugnato for its infiorata or carpets of flower petals for Corpus Domini, and the larger city of Sarzana with a pedestrian center enclosed by walls, good antique shops and two castles, one right in the city and the castle of Sarzanello on the hills above it.
Liguria still offers uncontaminated places, famous but not too crowded, the right place for those who love contact with nature, experiencing the sea sometimes less easy, with its cliffs, but certainly more fascinating and rich.
