Versilia, not only seaside, Villas and luxury
On foot between Nature, Culture, Breath taking views and ancient villages
Thinking about Versilia, the first thing that comes into your mind is the sea, the sandy beach, the lively nightlife in august, but the truth is that there is much more than what is in the spotlight.
Nature, culture, breathtaking views and ancient villages, paths and tourist itineraries spread all over the Alps are only some of the treasures that the Versilia inland hides.
The most well-known paths in Versilia, thanks to its historical relevance, is for sure the Via Francigena which, going through several municipalities of the territory, leads the travelers all the way to Lucca.
The cave Antro del Corchia, carved by the water within the marble mountains, is a path of about 70 km made of galleries and halls, all inside the Mount Corchia.
Another Cave which is extremely fascinating is the Grotta all’Onda. A prehistoric site, hiding place for the neanderthal man, in the vicinities of several other archeological sites of different historical periods.
Speaking instead about peaks to be conquered, like for example the Altissimo Mountain, well known for the marble extraction and the remains of the trenches of the “Gothic line”.
Impossible not to mention the Monte Forato. Composed by two peaks that join through a natural arch, an extraordinary feature that give life to a breathtaking event. Around the days of the summer solstice there is a double down: the sun rises twice, at first through the hole of the arch and then through the peak of the mountain.
And it is precisely in these hills and mountains that the most beautiful properties of Versilia are scattered, stone farmhouses that have maintained a typical Tuscan rustic taste but also luxury villas with more modern features, surrounded by the typical nature of our areas, many of which exclusive of Broker Immobiliare Exclusive Real Estate.
